Why does it take so long to pick a winner after the contest ends?

It doesn’t always take a long time to pick a winner. Sometimes I do it immediately after it ends and sometimes I do it the following Monday after a contest ends. I’m the only one with direct access to the website and the comments so adding new contests and picking a winner is solely on me (Princess Dominique). In addition, I’ve created the post titled, “Did You Pick a Winner Yet? to answer your questions and inform you about all the things that could have happened behind the scenes when a contest ends and a winner hasn’t been chosen yet. Please take a moment to read it. People have sent me ranting emails or have either left snide comments here, on Facebook or send me @ messages on Twitter that are quite rude. Don’t do that. I know that readers get excited about entering the contests and want to know who won what ASAP, but please know we aren’t purposely withholding a winner from you, sometimes “LIFE” calls and there are things that take priority over this website and when we return we “ALWAYS” pick a winner…every single time.

I sent a Product for Review and it hasn’t been posted yet, what’s taking so long?

I receive a bundle of packages every day. The mailman at this point probably hates me or is plotting to have my postal priviledges revoked. Some packages people send never make it to me for some reason or another. To assure that I receive your package please send it delivery confirmation or signature confirmation. Aside from that please be patient, we are endeavoring to divide the submissions up between our current correspondents and your review should be posted shortly.

I read somewhere that you don’t post product reviews if it’s less than 3 stars, is that fair to your readers?

If we don’t believe in a product we don’t want to add to the promotion or marketing of a product by posting it on our website. PrincessDominique.com is a top trending site in Google with over 1 million unique visitors per year and posting a bad review will still give that brand exposure at our expense. We’re not going to do that.
