I came across this photo shoot on the web. I love the dresses, I love the poses and her haircut. I’ve never heard of Ghubar though, but I’m interested in them now. That back shot/dress is amazing. I’ve got to steal that. Do it Dawn! You can follow them on Twitter too.

There are photos circulating of Sanaa Lathan from a photo shoot for the March of PRIDE magazine. I heart this corset gown, so I’m featuring this particular photo. It is sooooo gorgeous that I can’t even form words in my mouth to describe how I feel about it. What do you think?

I thought they would be able to mend things. I’m guessing some things aren’t forgivable.

Shaunie O’Neals’ 2002 fairytale wedding to NBA All-Star Shaquille O’Neal was everything she dreamed of. For their time together, she remained a doting wife and mother of five catering to her family. For many of their family and friends, the O’Neals were the ultimate NBA power couple and the perfect picture of marital bliss. But then things began to fall apart, and their happy home was plagued with rumors of Shaq’s infidelity that became daily fodder in the blogosphere. Shaunie on finally confronting Shaq about the infidelity rumors:
“He would deny it sometimes, and other times he would ask, ‘You got pictures? Video? If not, don’t come at me because you have no proof.’ “He’d say, ‘Okay, you’re mad. Now what? You’re not going anywhere.’

Shaunie on being accused of cheating on Shaq with her personal trainer:
“I worked out at home- with my trainer, my sister, her husband and my girlfriend. I was a good girl. I wouldn’t even entertain a man flirting with me. I was that conservative. But when those rumors came out, I felt I was so small and Shaq was so big that it didn’t matter what I said; nobody was going to believe me. All I was thinking was, How could this happen to me? I had no idea how I was going to pick up the pieces. I was just done.”

On the multiplying force of groupies:
Miami is a great city. It just wasn’t a great city for our marriage. I know they say L.A. has its groupies, but Miami has a different mentality. Even going to the games, the whole environment is so different. Girls are practically sitting in their bra and panties in the arena. When you’re trying to keep your husband, that’s a lot to take. It was a whole new lifestyle I wasn’t ready for. Apparently we didn’t have a strong enough foundation for Shaq to withstand that type of temptation.

Update: She was recently seen out and about with her new beau. I kind of liked Shaunie and Shaq together, but they had to like being together more than my image of them for it to work. Her new show is coming up this month. Basketball Wives. Now that should be something to see.

You may not want to admit that you watched yet another reality tv show but I did. Launch My Line. I didn’t know what to make of it but it was relatively a good show. I was a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology for a semester and what it taught me most of all is that I love fashion but hate pattern making and all that goes along with it.

But for those of you who watched Launch My Line you know that jewelry designer Kathy Rose who designs for Roseark.com won over Fashion Critic Merle Ginsberg and DJ Eric Cubeechee who were in second and third place, respectively. Here is a little bit about her:

Born in Iran, Kathy Rose is an American jewelry designer to the stars. Co-founder of the retail boutique, Roseark, and designer of her eponymous jewelry line, Rose’s clients include A-listers Charlize Theron, Madonna, Courtney Cox-Arquette, Kate Hudson, Angelina Jolie and Penelope Cruz. Rose was a finalist for the FGI Rising Star Award in jewelry and was selected to exhibit one of her pieces at the California Design Biennial at the Pasadena Museum of California Art.

Her dresses were sultry, moveable and definitely wearable!

This and the Doritos commercial was the highlight of the SuperBowl commercial series for me. I so totally didn’t see the end coming. I won’t spoil it for those who haven’t seen it. Even those these are babies there are true life lesson to be learned here. Watch it and reap.
