I’m so busy lately that I hardly get a chance to read my magazines when they come. I don’t subscribe to any, but magically I seem to just start getting subscriptions. When the November, 2011 issue of Harper’s Bazaar came I did a double take. Was that Beyonce on the cover? Pregnant? But not looking pregnant? I proceeded to snap photos. The key thing she said that stood out to me as I skimmed the spread was: “It was important to me that I gave myself time to focus on becoming the WOMAN I want to be…before I became a MOTHER.” I love that. It’s great when you can make the conscious decision to become a parent. Not all of us can or do. Now it’s time to go back an read the article.

I’ve been watching PanAM the series and I LOVE it! Not just because I wanted to be a stewardess (flight attendant) when I was little but because the vintage fashion is sooooo gorgeous. And here is a dress one of the women on the show was wearing. I loved the front, the back, the sides. Gorgeous vintage. Perfect for heels.

I wish I had better photos but, I don’t. Watch PanAM on Sundays at 10pm on ABC. You’ll see what I mean.

It looks like everybody dusted off their best shoes for the Basketball Wives L.A. photo shoot. Whether you love or hate reality tv it’s up to you, but somebody’s watching because ever show is spinning off into another show. Next think you know they’ll have Football Wives, Golf Wives, Handball Wives, Paddleball Wives, Shuffleboard Wives. I mean, imagine the hilariousness. What ever happened to just a straight up WIFE without all of the prefaces? I guess we’re too ordinary.

Next on the bandwagon with a new reality show is Amber Rose. Tentatively titled, “Behind Her Shades” will air on VH1. It will follow her as she sets out to launch her vision of her own sunglasses store. Not sure if I’ll watch (I probably will) but I’m glad that VH1 is still hiring. I’d love to follow someone launching their own fashion line. Maybe I’m next.
