Actually just knowing that my husband loves me makes my day but getting a shoe delivery is a close second. I wasn’t sure if I was going to like thses Steve Madden wedges. They’re taupe patent leather. I hestated because well, you know, I’ve done posts about Steve Madden knockoffs and didn’t know if I wanted to support that, but they are gorgeous and fit good. They were a little snug initially, but I have a shoe stretcher that I use for such occasions so I don’t have to let my poor feet do the breaking in of new shoes. Never do that. Never let your feet do the breaking in. Buy a shoe stretcher. That’s what they’re for.

Sidenote: This is the 2nd pair of shoes in less than a week that have ruffles. Am I a girly girl or what?

I love shoes. I know, that’s not a news flash, but Aldo has been stepping up their game. It seems that none of their fashionable shoes really break the budget or make you have to contemplate not making your car payment. And that’s a good thing. I love this shoe. When I first saw it, really it satisfied my desire for a pointy toe shoe and a stiletto. My husband bought them for me in grey–which I love because it’s hard to find a sexy grey shoe and secondly when they arrived, I tried them on and they were sooooo comfy to walk in. It’s also available in a blood red, black and chocolate brown. I want every color. I was talking about this shoe in a roundabout way on my recent interview on LOVETALK with @LoveBabz. They were originally $294.00 however as they sat in my Amazon.com wishlist I watched the price go down…down…down.  Just about every color is under $150.00 now, but the sizes are selling out fast. Yayyyyy! They’re here! Whoot! Camilla Skovgaard in the house! I love that “most of the time” the USPS delivers in the rain, snow, sleet, hail or whatever. After all isn’t that their slogan?

Back to the shoes. I’m so happy I have to tinkle. They are sooooo cute. I tried them on and they fit great. The tan leather is butter soft and the black leather is shinier and more sturdy but I love them. Yes, I am completely sold on this brand.

I wanted these badly. I was even contemplating getting the white slides but I really in my heart wanted these more. The two tone colors just looked better to me. And I found them accidentally on Amazon.com on sale. Originally $505.00, I snagged them for well lets just say a  STEAL. You know I couldn’t blog about them until I placed my order for fear that they would be sold out from under me. I haven’t bought myself anything in a LONG TIME and it looks like I just scored the last size 8. Yay, me! Buy yourself something nice this week.
