Princess Dominique Plays Catch Up

I’ve been under the weather with migraines. They knock me out for days at a time. Sometimes it’s what I eat. Sometimes its the weather. Sometimes I have no clue as to what it is, but either way I want to get back to blogging regularly. We are in the process of revamping the site. I want to start taking more photos of me in outfits because Lord knows I have more than enough clothing, shoes and furs. I had people doings sections of the blog but that wasn’t working out for me. It was giving me more work to do and my mind goes where it goes. Some days I feel like doing one thing and that’s what I do. That’s the reason I’m my own boss, so I can do what I feel. I’m also working on a natural hair post. I did the big chop over a year ago so I want to show you how far I’ve come from then to now. Last week hubby surprised me, we went to a big Cole Haan sale and he got some boots he wanted and got me a clutch and a pair of matching shoes. I want to do an outfit post for that so you can tell me what you think. That’s me above at the mall. In the meantime I wanted to tell you about a contest that Princess Dominique Vintage is hosting for a pair of Vintage Dangle Earrings. You’ll love them. So, busy yourself with that and before you know it I’ll be back with a video, an outfit post or something like that. I promise.

Just got this email – and the contest ended YESTERDAY?!?!?! Bummer…. Oh well – Love them, they ARE lovely earrings! Sorry about the Migraines, I have them too & know what it’s like to either have the HEADACHE or ‘medicine-head”! Sure hope you feel better soon
I’m so sorry to hear of your migraine woes. I’ve been a lifelong sufferer, and know exactly how you feel. Some days you can’t get out of bed, it hurts way too much to even open your eyes. You mentioned food, and weather which can all be contributing factors. But you might want to have your hormones checked. I started early menopause just after my daughter was born, and they had changed, getting worse. They now last anywhere between a week to three weeks of constant pain that no amount of pain killers can get rid of completely. (They only manage to dull the pain, but since they are rx, I can’t do anything either.) Its worth a shot, sometimes all you need is some type of hormone replacement (they usually start you off on low dose birth control — the low estrogen works best for me, while the progesterone made them even worse, everyone is different so try whatever is suggested!) Best of luck, I hope you find some relief! If you’re in NY I have a fab doctor that is not only amazing but doesn’t disregard alternative therapies which can sometimes work. Feel free to email me if you want the info. Okay, gotta go, I’m battling one right now! XXX Suzanne
