3 Things I Learned About the Raw Food Preparation Process #rawfood

I’m going all out with the Raw Food Journey. Before I get started I wanted to share with you 3 things that I’m thankful that I’ve learned ahead of time about doing the Raw Food Diet.
1. Going Raw Food can be time consuming so you need to plan ahead so you don’t grab a no-no food because it’s quicker. Cut up fruits that don’t brown the night before. Make sure you have enough for a day or two or even three so you don’t run out.
2. Smoothies and fresh juicing definitely helps. Although chewing the food may satisfy you more, when you can drink your breakfast or lunch it can eliminate the step of having to chop up everything and you can drink and dash if you have errands to run. Being able to drink your meal quickly will eliminate the need to snack while you’re out.
3. You can’t eat just fruit. You have to mix it up. I love nuts so they will be consistent in my daily roundup plus they are easy to bag and carry with you for a train ride or doctor’s appointment. I hear that celery is very good too. I can’t wait to get started and I welcome your comments and suggestions.

I do the raw thing often. The best advice I can give you is don’t beat yourself up if you slip up. Just pick up where you left off and keep doing the raw thing. Your body will love you for it. Your skin will begin to clear up, your energy level will increase and you feel great. Don’t be discouraged if you go through a period of feeling drained. That is natural…you are detoxing. Detoxification can make you feel tired and run down. Go through the process, stick to raw. It will pass.
Congratulations on your adventure! Can’t wait to hear how you progress.
Thank you for the feedback. I appreciate it. I also got some info from a designer friend (Meca). I asked her what kinds of things she ate on her fast and I definitely wanted to share what she says:
My fave were pistachios, huge salads with nuts, madarin oranges,
cranberries on top of raddichio and dark green lettuces like spinach.
i made awesome banana strawberry pecan smoothies. i recommend getting
a raw food cookbook.
also, i juiced daily and put green life (found in whole foods) in each
day to clean the intestines.
soak in epsom salt baths too, daily if possible to remove toxins.
