The Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony Swan Song – Divorce!

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

As a Bronx girl I was hoping these two would get it right and make it last. First Jennifer was spotted out not wearing her ring and rumors began to fly. She was previously quoted in In Touch Magazine saying, “Divorce is not an option.” Unfortunately…it seems that not true.

“We have decided to end our marriage,” they said Friday in a joint statement first reported by People. “This was a very difficult decision. We have come to amicable conclusion on all matters.”

The couple, parents to 3-year-old fraternal twins Max and Emme, were married in a low-key 2004 ceremony at her Beverly Hills home. They had renewed their vows in 2008, and again last year. The “American Idol” judge even brought her hubby to work more than once, capping the show’s season with a hot joint performance featuring Sheila E. on drums (see the video below).

This was the second marriage for Anthony and the third for Lopez, who before hooking up with longtime friend Anthony also was engaged to Ben Affleck; “Bennifer” broke up in 2003. She also famously dated Sean “P. Diddy” Combs for a couple of years back in the day. Anthony and Lopez were married days after his divorce was finalized.

They added Friday that this was a “painful time for all involved,” and asked that their privacy be respected.
