A Fine Arts Graduate, she noticed a correlation between shoes and art early on, finding them both beautiful and sculptural and able to be viewed as truly treasured items. With this in mind she sought the help of a local shoe maker and became New Zealand’s first high fashion shoe designer, creating women’s footwear that celebrates and acknowledges femininity as important and valid in a post-modern society.
