Boutique decor mantras:

“The Morning after… The dress doesn’t matter… Only the accessories.”

“Accessories! How Jane stopped being Plain.”

“Embellish your life.”

“Look your best! Who said love is blind!”

Audrey sighting!!!! I was pleased that the Warhol’s replica portrait of Audrey Hepburn graced us with her presence as I got to shop and mingle with Keena, her clients as well as Chaance. After all, she was the epitome of a style icon.

PAUSE! *Random act of Shoedom* I spy LouB’s!!!! On one of Keena’s Clients and you know the LouB WannaB in me had to stop her (while she’s in the middle of a call) and ask to cop a photo of her Christian Louboutin Black Lipspike Boots!!!!

Pleasant greetings amidst a contemporary yet modern boutique, nestled in the center of Newark’s business district, just minutes outside The Ironbound, So Excessive is the “it” place to shop your *Plain Jane* demeanor away. Keena Williams, is the Owner, business proprietor and the Lady force behind the So Excessive line of jewelry.  You can tell right off the bat that this woman knows what’s in Fashion, rocking her Knee High Black Leather Wedged boots and a beautiful Peach and Sequin Shawl Cardigan. She is beyond puuuuuurtty!

The decor alone of the boutique had me taken aback as it puts me in the mind of what a boudoir from the late 40’s or 50’s would look like, but with modern day accents. I loved every detail of it.

Greeted immediately by Keena herself with a warm “Hello! How are you?” As I entered. I was already in the moment because she has just thee brightest Aura I’ve ever seen! When I introduced myself and the site I represent, her face lit up!

Keena says: “OMG! Welcome, thanks for coming in @PrincessDominique is an amazing women, I love her! She’s so helpful and is such an inspiration.” That statement made me blush because it’s the truth!

Anywhooo! Aside from the Sisterpreneur offering me a glass of Champagne and Petite desserts in Chocolate Mouse and Carrot cake–to name a few, she had her assistant Chaance (who just so happens to be hella funny) show me around the boutique. It was grand treatment for every client that entered the store and that’s rare!

The atmosphere of So Excessive is filled with fashion forward look add-ons that have the power and ability to transform your look from Drab to Fab. The Filigree, Pave’, Faux Pearls, Rhinestones and Crusted Jems are draped on every fixture and display, showing all clients what’s new and in for Spring in the world of accessories!

P.D.D.F. asks Keena: Will you be adding any other items, like bags or shoes to your line?

Keena says: Oh no…Accessories are it for So Excessive…I definitely like to stick to what I know.

As the DJ played & more guests of the B.Y.B.F. Spring in Jewels event arrived, I got to chat it up with them and I must say, it was beautiful to see Keena and So Excessive supported by so many of her friends as well as her family.

P.D.D.F. asks Alnisa (a So Excessive client) What you think of Keena’s So Excessive Line of accessories?

Alnisa says: I love it. Every piece New and Sold out! *lol*

She was right and on that note I had to start perusing the displays to snag a few pieces to add to my collection. I couldn’t leave without purchasing the CZ Cluster Stud Earrings and A Gold Bangle set with Satin and Chain link accents! Ohhh… and the cutest Swag Bag filled with goodies. My fave was the “Love Me” statement earring set.

Definitely enjoyed myself and my finds and we at P.D.D.F. are looking forward to the Launch of Fifteen and Fabulous and The 1 Year Anniversary Celebration coming Mid-Summer.
