I get this question A LOT! Whenever I host a contest, after the contest is over, weeks after the fact I get Tweets, emails too asking me if I picked a winner even though right on the contest, at the very end it always has the winner’s name in red. It normally says:

Here is the WINNER 411 for all of those who aren’t sure if I picked a winner yet. Basically the name of the WINNER always appears BELOW the giveaway. In the event that there is no name and no winner has been chosen 3 4 things could have happened:

1. I have a migraine. I suffer from those. I don’t work with a migraine. I veg out. Don’t call, write, send a post card, nada. When I’ pain-free, I’ll return.

2. I could have simply overlooked it. There was a time when I was hosting too many contests and now I’m cutting back because they are too troublesome to juggle and one host let coupon codes expire on me and that wasn’t a good look when prize winners couldn’t claim their win. Boo!

3. I took a break from the website and forgot a contest was running. It has happened.

4. With 1000 Subscribers on the website now, 1000+ Facebook fans (nearly) and 4000 followers on Twitter and because the contests require that you follow on Twitter, Like the fan page and subscribe to the website we MUST VERIFY that you’ve done that before we can issue a prize. So even after a contest ends, we have to spend sometimes a day or for or five verifying that people aren’t just leaving a comment saying that they’re following us or liking us or subscribing to the blog but have actually done it. Yes, so that’s what takes so long. After all, we need to get something out of the deal too don’t we?

But at any rate, please know that if you enter a contest on PrincessDominique.com ALL winners are chosen using Random.org and all winner’s names are listed at the END of every contest. Use the search box at the top right corner to search out the contest if you don’t remember the link and scroll down to see if you’re the winner or not. Case solved!

Update: Awww I did get the kindest note from one of my subscribers who understands my blog post and didn’t take it out of context. I guess some people who have as much as me on their plate can relate.
