Oprah just did her favorite things show for 2010. Here is the link to all of her favorite things. This is the 4th year of the Must Have List. Unfortunately I don’t have the years prior to 2009. To see last year’s list click here.
You all know I enjoy the ease of online shopping especially because there is no pushing and shoving. At any rate, ENJOY the 10 Must Have Princess Dominique Favorite Things for 2010 and remember, you need to SHOP EARLY!
We reviewed these Heelskinz earlier this year and they were pheomenal. If you’ve ever had shoes that were precious to you, you’ll adore these and want to give them as a gift to your fellow shoenistas! They protect the scuffing at the back of the shoe that can happen when you drive. If you’ve ever worn suede shoes or other delicate fabrics you know that they can scuff all the time ie. while sitting on a chair or even just having both shoes rub against the other and not just when driving. I love mine. Their easy to remove and come in fashionable fabrics. Jump on the Heelskinz bandwagon. $19.95.
2. Victoria’s Secret Sequin Sweater Wrap
This cuddly sweater wrap is at the top of my wishlist. My birthday is 3 days before Christmas but I’m hoping that this ends up in my wardrobe. I imagine myself wearing it with my tattered jeans and a cute pair of stiletto boots or a Princess seam dress and Louboutins. It’s also available in a black with sequins too. I’m not sure but I may opt for both. Made of polyester, nylon, wool and mohair. If you buy one for a gift make sure you get yourself one, I’m just saying–a girl’s gotta glitter. $158.00.
There was absolutely “no way” we could leave The Sole Mates off the favorite things list. These are a girls wet dream. Honestly. This is the absolute perfect way to protect those high end designer heels that we covet so much (and you know we have tons). This is GENIUS! No more scrapes, scratches or nicks on your heels when you sink down into the grass or the dirt. Free shipping when you order 2 or more. I say buy a dozen (at least) to start! $9.95 a pair.
4. L’Occitane Almond Milk Concentrate
I’m not sure about you, but in the winter my skin gets abnormally dry. I did some research on the organic L’Occitane products and have been dying to try the Almond Milk Concentrate. It just sounded so luxurious and pampering that it had to live up to its promises–and it did! It uses almond proteins to firm the epidermis and a concentrated milk that nourishes the skin. Helps to firm and tone too. The almond scent is divine. Suitable for the whole body. $39.00 for a 7. ounce jar.
5. Amazon Kindle
I’ve wanted a Kindle for over a year now. My husband bought it for me and I’ve been HOOKED ever since. While there are some books by my favorite authors that I’ll still buy in hardcover, I find that the Kindle is awesome for stocking some suggested reading on a single device for the fraction of the price. My non-fiction book The Plural Thing: Spiritually Preparing for Your Soul Mate is available on Kindle for $3.99 (click here to get it). This item sells out EXTREMELY QUICK, especially around the holidays. The Kindle is my new best friend. $139.00.
6. J. Crew Mythica Bangle
I have slowly but sure begun falling in love with a variety of bangles. This one in particular caught my eye. It’s also available with yellow stones and there is one with all white stones that mimics diamonds. This piece will definitely please several fashionable people on your holiday shopping list. Trust me, they’ll sell out quickly. Definitely a conversation piece! $50.00
7. NYX Ultimate Beauty Box
I saw this on The View and fell in love. This is everything that any girl would ever need when it comes to make-up. This arsenal of cosmetic weaponry contains 47 eye shadows that range from matte to glitter, a black mascara, a black liquid eye liner, a black eye liner pencil, 5 face colors, 2 eye shadow bases, 2 face powders, 6 blushers, 4 concealers, 2 lip pencils, 6 lip glosses and 6 lip lacquer pots. This set is perfect to carry and go for any occasion – especially when traveling. $45.00.
8. My Wife Rocks Tee
I bought this tee for my husband earlier this year (maybe for Valentine’s Day I don’t fully remember) and just to be fair I bought myself the one that says, “My Husband Rocks” and I get so many smiles in public whether we are wearing them out together or if I’m only wearing mine. I think it is a powerful testament to love, faithfulness and marriage and that every couple should own a pair. Now the company has other designs and I just got an email that they have hoodies too. Guess what will be under the tree this Christmas! $17.00.
9. Steve Madden Peeptoe Platform Sandals
Now I know you don’t follow Princess Dominique and think that there won’t be a shoe on my must have list. These platform sandals are available in black and pink. The pink ones are just calling me. The color is so delicate like cotton candy almost. I must have them. I have no clue what I’ll wear it with, but those who know me already know that I most often build my outfit around my shoes. I am already dusting off a place in my shoe closet for these babies. Happy Birthday to meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! $100.00
10. Toletta Toilet Seat Covers
We thought this was the coolest product around. If you’ve ever had to use the rest room while out you’ll know how difficult it is to squat. Let’s be for real. With these soft toilet seat covers, now you can be ready no matter where you are–especially if you need to sit for awhile. It comes in a pretty package that’s small enough to fit in a clutch. Easy to open, easy to use and absorbent enough for those with little men who tinkle on the toilet seat. Their brand also helps Breast Cancer Awareness Research (pink package) and Child Poverty Awareness (blue package). Oh and they’re safe to flush. Get a 6 pack for $14.95.
I receive absolutely “no” compensation for the items on the list. With that disclaimer out of the way, I’d love to know what you think! Please feel free to forward or repost with a link back and don’t forget to leave a comment on what YOU find a VERY HOT “must have” item this season.
