Luisa Beccaria and Feminine Inspiration

In Spring 2009 it seems that Luisa Beccaria got carried away with ruffles and the sleek night gown look, which isn’t a bad thing because I like the femininity of her pieces–they just took over her collection a tad too much for me. Below, however, you can see that the sleekness is still there, so is the femininity and there is lots of bright white and other subtle pastels. I love the creativity and the way it shows itself and lures you in. Its as it was on the day I discovered her. I first fell in love with one of Luisa Beccaria’s dresses in a magazine. I think Nia Long was wearing one bare foot as she rode a horse. It was instant love baby. She makes you want to wear a dress for no reason and make shoes optional–you know that’s a big deal for a girl like me.

A dress should always feel like a dream when you walk in it.

I am in love with those dresses! If I had the $$$ and someplace to wear it, I’d grab that first gown up in a second! I am a sucker for frilly gowns!
