Here Comes the Bride, All Dressed in Red…
They say that it’s traditional for the bride to wear red in some other countries for joy and love ie. the red heart, but now red wedding dresses are finally making their debut in the United States and not just for weddings taking place on Valentine’s Day. Gone is the limiting choice of wearing white, off white, ecru et al. Nowadays you can basically make your wedding anything you want to because it’s YOUR day. Anybody know the designer? I’m sure I’ll be asked and I can’t locate the name right now. Would you wear red to your wedding? Why or why not? Do you love this or hate it?

I wore white for my first wedding, black for my second. Not sure what I’ll wear to my third, if it ever happens, but I’m leaning towards green.
I am loving the dress, and have always bucked tradition when it comes to such matters. That day is all about the bride and the groom, so whatever it is they desire should be represented in the ceremony.
love the dress just not for the bride…there is something special about seeing a bride in white…i went to a wedding where the bride wore white with a pink train and it just looked silly…maybe i am just old fashioned when it comes to weddings
I wasn’t aware of this trend, but I see it as an option that I’d surely entertain. This particular gown is exquisite, gorgeous and all that! If you get a price, let us know.
I like to be non-traditional at times. I feel the white dress is played out for weddings and the symbolism behind it. A dress has proof of a woman’s purity yet the groom’s purity is not displayed. I don’t feel that.
Anyway, back to the dress. I love the color and top part, I don’t like big puffy bottoms on wedding dresses. Maybe a flair or semi-fitted.
AM you are a colorful lady! Do your thing.
Style I feel you on the old fashioned-ness. I’m traditional too. I want to renew my vows. Still debating about a color though.
Gemlady still looking for a price.
Shai you’re right, purity and we know that many shouldn’t…well, I won’t go there.
I know that my girlfriend would for sure wear that if she could when we get married
I love the dress but not for me or my daughter. I just like the white- not because of the purity issue, but because it is what many little girls always dreamed of wearing. I went to a wedding where the bride wore burgundy and her court white. It was weird to me. Even though people should wear what they want- I’m very traditional about the wedding. I know when my daughter gets married there is going to be trouble. For her debutante debut to society we argued over her dress and she had the nerves to say this won’t be happening for my wedding. I am choosing a dress and when she described it, I simply said that’s a weddding you are paying for right?
I think all little girls dream of wearing white on their wedding day,but in reality…….I feel you should wear whatever color you want…I mean it is YOUR day! My daughter is getting married next year and she is gearing towards black and white for her gown, and she wants her guests to wear black or white to her wedding!
I’m planning on wearing a red wedding dress. I never dreamt of anything about a wedding other than about finding the man of my dreams, which I have. Basically, if i see on more white dress, i might scream. And well…my red dress will scream for me.
Now…to warm the future mother-in-law. we’ll see how that goes!
