Reginald Potts Court Date Set for September 9, 2008

I went home yesterday to gather information on the Nailah Franklin case, because I hate to see things that need closure cool down, but I couldn’t find anything on the internet about it doing a general search, so, I thank CC Crawford for letting me know today via a comment on this blog that per the cook county log that as of today 8/31/2008 inmate Reginald Potts next court date is schedule for 9/09/2008. I appreciate those who are diligent about letting the public know about this case. I desperately want to see closure here.

Barack Obama: What You Won’t See On the News

One reason why I never trust the news is because they’re biased and prevent you from getting a whole lot of truthful information and instead fill your ears and eyes with lies and half truths. This is no lie. When I saw this photograph and the subject line: photo you won’t see on any news station in our inbox–my husband said to check it out and I had to give it a look. Like him or not Obama has a secret weapon: PRAYER! Prayer gets things done–especially good old-fashioned hands on, touch and agree prayer, so, it’s official, President Barack Obama, folks! You might as well practice saying it–it’s a done deal.

Driveway Dreams

I think we all have dreams. Mine is to have a driveway. I mean a nice, smooth circular driveway out in front of our mansion so that we don’t have to play musical cars with the simple-minded neighbor who thinks he’s the only one allowed to park his 2 cars and truck directly in front of the building. Oh, how I can’t wait for the day when there will be no more of him sneaking downstairs just so that you don’t hear him leave and then get tempted to run downstairs and take his spot. I mean he wants all 3 of his vehicles lined up out front–directly in front. Stuff like that is madness. I think they need to institute new parking rules like assigned parking. What do you think? Note: This is not the actual house.

Trying to Make Sense of Fish Pedicures

What do you think about the fish pedicure. You know the one where fish nibble off the dead skin from your feet? I love pedicures although it’s been a minute but I can’t see sticking my feet in a bowl, dish or whatever and have something that has to be a close relative to the piranha family chew at my feet. They do it in Tokyo and at a spa in Virginia. Maybe it’s just me, but hell to the naw!

Juanita Bynum and Bishop Thomas Weeks III Divorced

Shows you how much I’d been paying attention. They’re divorced. Officially. I think it happened sometime in June. *shrug* I think they needed to be apart. Whenever you act like that together then apart is the best remedy. Reports said that they ended their nearly six-year marriage after a tense hearing in divorce court. The proceedings were stopped at one point when Bynum admitted the two had sex after their separation. In the settlement Weeks was ordered to return artwork and silverware while Bynum agreed to pay up to 40k of Week’s attorney fees. Neither got alimony.

What a nasty mess. Like the Christie Brinkley divorce, why does everything have to be so public?
