Celebrity moms are getting all kinds of sparkly gifts from their partners. While the rest of us will get dirty diapers and baby bottles as a reward for motherhood, the likes of Jennifer Lopez received a $300,000 canary diamond ring. Granted, after the hard work of carrying twins (and packing a few pounds), she couldn’t use her regular diamond engagement ring in photo shoots, so hubby Marc Antony came to the rescue. Diamonds are becoming a classic gift for mothers in Hollywood, whether it’s to replace a too-tight wedding and engagement ring combo, or to celebrate the birth of new babies. And why not? The children of these megawatt stars are pampered in luxury and opulence from the minute they are born.
For the J. Lo twins, in fact, the babies’ nursery cost an estimated $30,000 just to get up to snuff. This includes silver rattles and butler services, of course. Don’t forget the chandeliers and Dolce & Gabbana fur wraps. No baby should have to do without one. This is chump change for a diamond-studded pair like Marc Antony and Jennifer Lopez, however, having received a rumored $6 million dollars just to let People magazine survey the luxury awaiting the twins, Max and Emme.
Having kids is the height of fashion in Hollywood these days and mommy diamond gifts are being sported everywhere. However, how many celebrities do you know have twins too? It’s double the joy and double the luxury for Marc Antony and Jennifer Lopez and they’re taking full advantage of it.
