Love is Beautiful

Love is a beautiful thing. Anybody who judges love by someone they picked with their eyes, didn’t get to know on a deeper level (which is why it didn’t work) and then wants to paint the world with that wide biased brush–can…it’s just not accurate. Love works. Love crosses colorlines. Love with the right person can change your entire outlook on life. Love is magical. Love is deeper than the ocean. Love with the person you’re supposed to spend the rest of your life with will make you wonder what you ever felt for anybody else before they came along. Love is amazing. Love is slow to anger–like the Bible says. Love is patient and kind. Love doesn’t badmouth. Love is so many things that I can’t even get into right here. Most of all love lasts and love compromises for the sake of the relationship. Choose love, not a skin complexion, a dress size or a make and model of a vehicle. Love is all that matter. All the rest is dung that will ruin any relationship you have if you get into it for the wrong reason. Hi, I’m Dominique and I’m in LOVE.

^5! A male friend told me yesterday that I’m a “hopeless romantic” which I found very funny cause I find NOTHING “HOPELESS” about LOVE and romance. Here’s to real, soul-to-soul, deeper than cellular level LOVE!!

Amen, I’d love to be a part of that movement. Deeper than cellular!

Dom, I have to be honest, the love thing gives me headache. I think my hope for love is diminishing day by day. I was once a hopeless romantic now I like hearing about love just not like I used to if you can understand that.

Sure Shai. I understand where you’re coming from. I don’t think there are enough examples of how it’s good or can go very well. We don’t talk enough about the Ruby Dee and Ossie Davis’. Hollywood is the worst example, but I can’t begin to tell you how happy I am. I must say that I think we all need a break when we get out of wrong relationships to build ourselves back up. I hope one day you’ll be sending me an invitation though!

Yeah, we don’t have enough examples and I am not talking about the media. In my own life, family and even friends, I cannot count on one hand who is married. I cannot say anyone of them really inspires me about love and marriage.

One person who inspires me and I feel a great connection with is Joyce Meyers. She is real and then things she says about her old self remind me of my own self. And by her example, it will not be easy or quick my coming to the other side of Love.

True, I don’t have many examples either. Only one other sister in my immediate family is married and 1 aunt out of 5 are married so I’ve had to develop my own ideals. I can relate to Joyce too. She’s down to earth and I’ve struggled with the same issues that she has or does.

Kim, love can be beautiful. I’m so glad you gave him a chance. You’re shopping at the grocers for food and come out with a man! That’s amazing!
