Irv Gotti is a First Class Idiot

I got caught up in Irv Gotti’s reality show. But look at this stupid dude here at Remy’s party. He’s always anywhere and everywhere except with his wife and kids. Most serious businessmen work at the office and come home. He makes any and every excuse to wander the streets after business hours. I don’t know why she won’t just leave the dude. I mean, I’d love to interview her and get her POV because you can’t say it’s about the kids because you do your kids a disservice staying together for them when there’s no love and togetherness. What are you teaching them? How to tolerate infidelity? I mean, dude can’t keep his chubby joint in his pants so what’s she hoping for? I am almost positive that all of his groupies are laughing at her. She’s got the “wife” title but he’s performing his duties with anybody who bends over to pick up a pencil. She better get out while the house is completely paid for. Geez.

The love of money is the root of her staying…she needs to stop loving money and love herself.

See this is why I hate “Reality” tv shows: Sometimes people fail to see the reality of what’s really going on because they’re too caught up in pointing fingers. No disrespect, but have you ever thought that maybe the reason that you don’t see Irv with his wife or kids is because SHE doesn’t want all the cameras and publicity around her and her kids?
Let’s face facts: the ONLY show to truly portray people of color in a positive light is Run’s House. More often than not, Reality TV show producers latch onto all of the negative aspects of show’s subjects life and never let go until the last ounce of ratings juice has been squeased out.
Maybe Mrs. Irvin Lorenzo Gotti didn’t want to subject her children to all of the negative presurres that come with having your life displayed for all to see on some primetime reality show. Maybe she’s not into being in the limelight like that. Maybe she wants to keep her children respectable and levelheaded instead of letting everyone on Earth watch her and her husband raise their kids. And let’s face it: Murder Inc has been in a bit of a slump these last few years….maybe that premise of the show that was pitched to him was just supposed to be about him rebuilding the Inc from the ground up and never had any intentions of ever involving his family in the show.
It’s like that old saying: Believe half of what you read and none of what you see. Don’t get sucked into the hype….unless you’re a producer on the show or you know Irv (& family) personally, what you think is going on might not be what’s really going on……

His wife incidentally is half of the show so the cameras are always around her and her kids proving he’s nowhere around. His son was BAWLING on tv asking why dad doesn’t spend more time with us. Why doesn’t he come over more. I doubt the kid made himself cry on cue for the cameras. Irv’s words were, she was good enough to have my babies but not good enough for me to stop f-ing other women. He’s an idiot. His parents have a 51 year marriage but he keep spouting his idiotic rants about how relationships don’t work. Nope they don’t especially not when you want to brand every groupie with your fake Gotti charm. That’s why I love reality shows. They brings the bigwigs down a peg. Who is Irv Gotti? A womanizer trying to make a comeback.
And you’re right Shelia. He’s trying to get a hit, maybe he’s supposed to just be a good father and keep it at that.

I watch a lot of reality shows, but I don’t enjoy watching this one at all. I just feel for his family. Irv does what he wants without thinking about how it makes his wife feel. She takes so much junk too hold on to financial stability. And on some level I think his wife really loves him. If Irv finally chose to straighten up and be a committed husband, I believe his wife would take him back. But he’s not interested in that. He’s only into fulfilling his own needs. How long can this go on? Irv’s wife is still young and most likely wants a man who really wants her. But what I will also say is that if Irv didn’t want his family to be portrayed one way or the other, he should have elected “not to do the show at all.”
Irv claims to be so much of a big time businessman, but what has The Inc. done this year? Nothing.

I feel for the wife too Aziza because from what I see she’s not with anybody, she just sits there at home hoping he’ll come over and he comes over after the kids are in bed so he’s not coming there for them. And yes he could have not done the show but he’s trying to poise the show as part of his comeback. Next episode Monday at 10:30pm when things get too sticky he wants them to turn the cameras off. Whatever. I love black men and don’t purposely down them but this dude here is a pile of steaming manure.

Wow, all this from a reality show? I’ve never watched it…and based on the discussion here, can’t say that I want to.

Okay. Has anyone actually followed this show since it first aired? It doesn’t seem that way to me. Irv and his wife ARE married, but they don’t live together, so that’s why he’s never there. Because of his infidelity, that’s why they have the arrangement they have now. He only visits on the weekends to hang with the kids. Now, the rest of the family may WANT more, but he aint giving more and he is so in denial it aint even funny. He puts everything (Music and his liefstyle) before his family and in the end, he’s going to end up a lonely man.
He actually thinks this solution is working and everything is all good. He couldn’t be more wrong! I agree he’s a damn idiot! He wants to do what he wants and that’s it. As he says, “I know I’m going to run amuck…” WTH?? Then why the hell did you get married idjit? IMO he still has some growing up to do. A WHOLE lot of growing up. I don’t understand where he gets his views from, because his parents have been married 51 years. 51! And he’s acting like an azz. Just crazy if you ask me.
Now, he isn’t the only one to blame for everything wrong in his marriage, but he is a major contributor; from what I see. His wife is wrong for allowing him to do what he wants. If she had any respect for herself or her kids, she’d have left him a long time ago. For some reason, she still has hope that things will get better. Her home is paid for, so it seems to me all she needs to do is get a damn job and support her family, because she IS going to get some assistance from Irv. If he doesn’t do anything else right by them, he does provide for them financially. And according to him, that will always be the case…but I wouldn’t bank on that intirely.

Oh you’re right, the wife isn’t blameless. I think if she put her foot down he’d get off the pot.

I watched the finale last night and I know Deb is in a tough spot, but I was just hoping she would go through with the divorce.
Irv called her an a**hole for asking Sonny what he’d think if they got a divorce… I’m sorry, Irv… but are YOU not the a**hole in this situation??? Are YOU not the one who cheats on your wife and leaves your family hanging on a reular basis???
I hope eventually Deb gets the courage to leave him. She deserves to be happier.

Browngirl I do too. Maybe they just didn’t want to be on tv, but it doesn’t appear that she has a support system. He made it seem like the camera made her cry–IT WAS HIM! He’s so dense.
