Book Club Selection #1 Paige

Shelia Goss is a writer and friend and I’ve interviewed her for my radio show. This is sort of a surprise and she doesn’t know it yet but her new book Paige’s Web is the first book selected for the Princess Dominique Dishes Pop Culture Blog Book Club! You can log on and order your copy of Paige’s Web for only $6.99! We’re going to reserve this spot in hopes that she’ll stop by and chat with us and answer questions on our message board. If you want to be a member you have to sign up on the message board since that’s where the discussions will take place. We have some interesting selections coming up and can’t wait to hear what you think about what we’re reading. I caught up with Miss Shelia and here is a mini-interview about her newest release.

What inspired you to write Paige’s Web?

The idea for Paige’s Web came to me out of the blue. I thought it would be interesting to show that men aren’t the only ones who have commitment phobias. People assume that it’s always the woman who wants to settle down; but in Paige Christine Webb’s case, it’s the men. She finds herself tangled in a web of lies as she works her way through her insecurities.

I think the concepts for my stories are universal and women of all ages and races will enjoy them. My target audience is anyone who wants to be entertained with a good book, so the book isn’t just for women (smile).

How did you come up with the title?

Paige’s Web was not the original title. The original title had to be changed per my publisher. I think I had less than 48 hours to come up with a new title or else I would have to settle for whatever title it was given. With the help of some of my fans, I narrowed it down to three and from those choices, I decided upon Paige’s Web. It’s derived from the main character’s name (Paige Christine Webb) and the dilemma she finds herself in.

Where can readers find your book(s)?

Paige’s Web is in national chain stores such as Wal-Mart, Borders, Barnes and Noble, etc. Readers can also order from many of the online retailers such as Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com. My other two books, My Invisible Husband (Dec. 2006) and Roses are thorns, Violets are true (Feb. 2007) can be found in stores or online. Most books stay on the shelf for about 6 weeks to 3 months from its original release date; afterwards, readers will have to have the store order it.

How can readers find out more about you and your books?

My website is www.sheliagoss.com or you can find me at www.myspace.com/sheliagoss. I also blog at
