The Princess Craving Fashion in 14 Karat Gold

I’m not normally a gold person. Gold used to be gawdy. You know, it seems a bit flashy and out there, but I think as long as it doesn’t resemble Christmas tree garland you may be safe. I snagged this cute summer dress in a matte gold at 60% off. I think it’s cute for evenings or an event that’s upscale but not exactly black tie. I’m mulling over a pair of Gucci sandals to pair with them. I think I just like the platform and the heel. They pair so well together. Now if I can just swallow the $700 price tag for the sandals *sigh* I’ll update you with a shoe photo shortly.

Edit here are the shoes. They’re $1295 in gold python.

I did something taboo this weekend for a Southern lady. I wore white or is that cool now :) Well anyway, I wore a white skirt with gold/glittery type things trimming the bottom (the skirt was right above the knee) and last week I had found a white shirt with gold/bronze metalic glittery type things in the center on the top…went perfect with the skirt. The skirt was a Christmas gift and I had never worn it…but anyway, it was cute. I just hated I didn’t wait to wear it to this event this coming weekend. Oh well.

Sounds like a really cute outfit Shelia. It seems like anything goes now in fashion. I like that!

Love the dress and shoes, but how in the heck can you walk in six inches? I barely can make it in 3 inches.

I think they’re 4 and a half, and the platform helps, not wearing pointy toe shoes helps too.
