Usher and Chilli Inspired New Novel Dedication.
“Dedication“, Kraus and Mclaughlin’s promote their most recent novel–you know, the co-authors of The Nanny Diaries. The premise of Dedication is a woman who confronts her high school sweetheart 20 years after graduation because he went on to become a successful pop singer after using their relationship as inspiration for his biggest hits.
Kraus and Mclaughlin, both 33, said Dedication was inspired by Usher and his 2004 album, Confessions, which was reportedly based on a lot of the singer’s failed romance with Chilli of TLC.
“That album was ubiquitous,” Mclaughlin said. “You could not go anywhere without it pumping out of every car, every restaurant. We couldn’t stop thinking about it. We were like, How is Chili not killing herself right now?”
Dedication movie adaptation, here they come. Hopefully, if Usher isn’t offended by the tome, he’d be up for playing the pop singer, Kraus and Mclaughlin said. As for the woman ready to take on her ex-beau? “Beyoncé!” Kraus said. “Someone fabulous.”
Me personally, I hope that Usher comes to his senses and realizes what a horrible mistake he made. Yes, I know you can’t tell someone who they should be with, but he and Chilli were definitely making smooth music together. That’s still my jaded opinion.

LOL@ you and your jaded opinion. I thought they made a good couple too but then you never know what’s happening behind the scenes.

I bet Chilli had to put up with hearing Usher’s music loosely based on her until his CD finally fell off the charts. And now she has to hear about their old relationship again in a book.
Well, we shouldn’t feel too sorry for Chilli, because her current man who works at CNN is intelligent and real easy on the eyes. Get’em girl.

I really wish those 2 were still together.
Oh well, won’t happen now! Who’s Chilli’s new man?? If it is who I think he is, yes. She’s better off without Usher. Hehe…
