Author Chef Jernard took a moment to answer a few questions for me. Follow along with his love language:
1. What inspired a book about love and food, and why did you title it 88 Ways to Her Heart?
I have always been inspired to share food and love with the world .bringing food & love together was inspired by the thought of actually projecting my emotions through my hands I express my feelings of love through the art of cooking I want to help everyone else do the same I strongly believe that love and food go hand and hand. Over the years that I experience with dating, I realized that food was a key element when it came to pleasing my dates a good meal and an intimate setting go hand and hand. I have never seen a person eating and frowning; not to mention, food is the corner stone of all things that have something to do with love. On any date, you usually have dinner at the beginning or end of the date. So I created 88 love recipes to assist couples in winning there mate’s heart.
2. Why is 88 Ways to Her Heart different from other cookbooks on the market?
There is only one answer to that, it was created from the heart for the heart.
3. You are The Love Chef, what is your favorite recipe or story in the book?
My favorite recipe is Love-Struck Chicken on page 87. That’s the way I felt when I met my wife 9 years ago, whom I married after 3 months of dating. My favorite story is Let me love you right, if for only one night: it will be so sweet just to have you near. I will be by your side if for only one night. I won’t tell a soul: just let me console, hold, and feed you to keep you near for only one night. Page 89.
