Keep Your Mac Book Pro Scratch-Free and Colorful

Need Mac color?

Being that the colorful iPod mini, nano, and shuffle have been so popular with the cool kids, I have to wonder why Apple hasn’t dipped the Macbook Pro in some sexy metallic hues. Wouldn’t that be great? I bet they would sell even more Macbook Pros and iMacs if they gave us a few color options. I’m tired of my silver MacBook Pro, but being that it’s still too hot to handle, I refuse to stick any skins or stickers on it. So what are my options? Let’s see.

I could send it in to Colorware to get a custom paint job, but that would be too expensive, and I can’t really part from my computer even for a day. Or I could buy a Speck SeeThru Hard Shells custom made for the 15-inch MacBook Pro which costs about $50 and comes in many colors. Now that I can afford.

GeekSugar says that each snap-on shell comes with cut-out holes for all the computer’s ports, so you won’t have to ever remove the polycarbonate shell that does a good job of keeping your MacBook Pro scratch-free. Anyone who’s ever spent $3,000 on a computer knows even a small scratch on your baby will ruin your day.

Anyway, I thought I’d bring these up now that some of you will be packing your uber-expensive MacBook Pro as you head back to school.
