Misleading Mascara Ad
July 26, 2007 – 7:14 amPosted Under: celebs, products

This has always been an issue for me and I’ve found it misleading from the day I first saw it done. Anyway, here goes, “L’OrĂ©al is in trouble after producing ‘misleading’ mascara ads featuring a fake eyelash-clad Penelope Cruz. You mean mascara can’t really triple the volume of your lashes in one swoop?!?! And they shouldn’t single out L’Oreal, they ALL do it.

I hate this too. Even the tv ads have models wearing fake lashes. It’s so obvious when you look at their lashes and this L’Oreal ad was the worst. I refuse to buy mascara that costs over $4. I don’t see the point. $10, $20 and $40 mascara is such a waste. Cover Girl no smudge forumla is fine with me. And I see a difference when I put it on.

yeah i noticed that. i don’t even pay attention to the ads anymore. i just stick to the great lash by maybelline when i wear makeup and that does me just fine.

I never paid much attention to the ads either - too much hype.

I never really paid much attention to the ads either. I just bought what I liked, especially if it wouldn’t clump and didn’t cost a small fortune.
