Summer Essentials. You know those items that you can’t get through a summer without?
Slurpee: You know these cool you down and give you a sugar rush!
The Beach: Preferably a nice, warm, uncrowded patch of sand like this.
Sandals: Must add at least 3 new pairs of sandals to dress up the summer wardrobe.
Books/Magazines: Summer revs up my reading. Good, books, colorful magazines are must for the summer. Stuff them in your bag and go!
BBQ: This is a staple, a must, corn on the cob, potato salad and grilled ________ (you fill in the blank).

5 summer essentials: Well, this is a breeze!
-Lots of energy because I will put in some late nights working on art projects into the wee hours of the morning
- DVD’s to play while working on these projects downstairs in the artroom.
- A good audiobook to sit out on the deck and listen to on those warm summer nights when I’m not drawing (rare, but it’s been known to happen)
- the wifey’s special lemonade twist while I’m listening to those audiobooks. I dont know what that chick does to it, but it is thorough!!!!
- A trip up north in the July month. Lots of family birthdays to celebrate. It’s always a great month in NYC to go visit the folks.

My #1 is LOTION! Being ashy is not cute #2 Air conditioning in the house and car. Sweating to death is not cute either. #3 Pedicured toes. You shouldn’t even have to wonder why. #4 Sandals, I usually buy about 4 pair a summer. #5 MOJITOS!!!!!

that’s a good list and as I pulled out all my summer shoes recently, I told myself there’s NO WAY… I’m buying another pair this summer and so far so good…just hope I can stick with it.

(Um, you know Bacardi has a Mojito mix now. I’m just saying)
1. sunglasses
2. lip gloss
3. ice tea or lemonade
4. pedicure
5. sandals (um…those are Santanas in the pic right? hmmmm)
6. soothing music for those balmy evenings spent on the deck
7. good books
8. BBQ - it’s on this Saturday (fish fry & er’ythang…rum punch)
9. flirty skirts, sundresses
10 BOMB POPS (the original red, white, blue) or an AUTHENTIC Italian Icee

My summer must have
1) a good read, magazine or otherwise
2) new music, perferably calypso since summer is carnival in Barbados
3) sandals..just got back from Brazil shoe shopping heaven, I bouth about 5pairs
4) hot sexy summer dresses with sunglasses to go
5) definitely the beach
