An Antsy Stay At Home Mom

PRINCESS!
I am a stay at home mom with a son and we decided that it was best for me to give up my career and take care of our child. However, there are times when I don’t feel fulfilled. What should I do? - Unfulfilled
DEAR UNFULFILLED
Giving up your career to raise a family isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The empowering thing is that you said “we” decided that it was best for you to give up your career and take care of the child. It seems that your husband is open to your input and that’s a plus because communication is the key to fostering lasting, healthy relationships. As for the lack of fulfillment it may be time to awaken a dormant hobby to keep yourself busy, and if that isn’t fulfilling enough you may want to join the legion of women who already own and operate various types of businesses that can be conducted solely from home. Many have low start up costs. If you don’t find that satisfying enough it may just be time to sit down with your hubby and reevaluate your initial stay at home decision. I’m hoping for the best for the both of you.

Great response. Wonder how long she’s been a SHM…at any rate, she has lots of options.
