A Dozen Must Have Princess Favorites of 2006

Born Lippy lip balm by The Body Shop has to be the all time favorite thing I’ve found to put on my lips! I’ve tried Lip Glass by MAC, but this is smooth, and has a delicious and kissable fragrance that draws attention to your pout. Now although they have several flavors the best by far for me has to be Passionfruit. Yum! You can call it my signature or secret weapon, whichever you prefer. It’s affordable. Try one. Order it here. Be warned, however, you may be have to ward off impromptu kisses.

Shu Uemura false eyelashes have become my secret weapon. Not a fan of make up or foundation “False Eyelashes Luxe” is a synthetic and animal friendly replica of the mink false eyelashes custom-ordered by celebrities. I love the criss-crossed design because it gives the lashes a fullness and I’ve worn them on photo shoots and they made my eyes look very dramatic. Wearing these you honestly can’t wait to make eye-contact and flirt a little. You know you’re dying for a reason to bat your lashes. Order them here.

“Langston Hughes goes street,” is what one reviewer said about Songs In Search Of A Voice. I’m a totally sold out fan of the written word and of poetry specifically and this collection I must confess definitely delivers and rises above a lot of books taking up space on the shelves out there. Not only will you want to own this one yourself but you’ll want to do like I do and tuck in under your arm on your way out the house on Saturday morning for a leisurely time in the local coffee shop. How many times have I read it? 127 times and counting. Buy it here.

I was raving about this product earlier in the year. It’s my signature scent. Bath & body Works Jasmine Vanilla Aromatherapy Sensuality Body Wash. I used to fawn over “Day” by The Gap and then there was Calyx by Prescriptives, however, this marriage of scents take the cake, Sweeties. A cleanser and fragrance in one, it doesn’t make you feel over-announced when you walk into a room. It’s fresh, feminine and fun, all the things I want to convey while wearing it. Wear it and he’ll want to get closer. Buy it here.
When I’m not sudsing up with my jasmine vanilla sensuality body wash this honey buttermilk combination is a light and soothing alternative. I discovered it back in 1995 before I moved to North Carolina and now here I am totally smitten with it still. Sensitive enough for a baby and delicate enough for a princess. Now in an easier to maneuver shape, make sure you get yourself a few bars here.

One of my blog visitors turned me on to this. I was drawn to it because it was pink of course. This is made especially for the Madonna Inn, but it’s just like any other sugar. I enjoy it and always keep some on hand. Snag a bag or buy me a bag here.

I have been waiting years for this collection of poetry. She is a huge talent, a great friend and a fellow blogger. If you want poems that will lure your heart, break it and heal it all in one, this collection is it. I was toying with a novel to add to this list but since I was loving poetry so much in ‘06 and own it this will have to be it. I pre-ordered it and it came with tons of goodies. You will definitely want to cop a copy, add it to your wish list or something because “forget what you heard” poetry is making a comeback. Buy it here.

If you’ve been around me for stretches of more than 24 hours you’ll know that I love Skittles. I wouldn’t say its my absolute favorite candy on the planet but nowadays its readily available, I keep a grip of them wherever I go or am going to be, so lately yes it tops the charts when I’m craving something sweet–seeing as I’m not much of a chocolate eater. I prefer the original Skittles and don’t really care for the smoothie flavor versions. The Skittles gum doesn’t work for me either because the shape is identical to regular Skittles and I’m normally just chew and swallow, forgetting that its gum. You know where to find them, but still, check out the website here.

Initially when I saw this movie I didn’t know what to think. I was processing it. It was artsy and musical and I enjoyed the storyline and was particularly fond of the fact that just because it was a movie for “us” that it wasn’t an exploitation film. This is one of those movies that you enjoy the more you see it and every time you see it you discover something you previously missed. Buy it here.

I love bath products! Straight in at number one is the impossibly irresistible Sex Bomb, scented with the ‘come hither’ fragrance of jasmine and ylang ylang. Soak yourself in its pink, scented waters before a promising night out. Clary sage essential oil, as well as being a reputed aphrodisiac, helps you to keep a balanced viewpoint and a clear mind, so your head will not be turned by all the offers of champagne, caviar, lobster and rides home in a ferrari. However, the Sex bomb is not just for nights out; it makes a wonderful start to a quiet night in. Its sumptuous luxurious fragrance fills the whole household to turn your home into a pleasure palace. Share if it you dare. Get bomb balls for you and a friend or two right here.

SaucyDame hipped me to the PhotoFiddle and rumor has it that its topped O’s favorite things list in the November issue of her magazine. I’ve always wanted an Andy Warhol print of myself. This makes it so easy. You can have it printed on regular photo paper or on canvas and buy it framed or rolled. You’ll love this. If you have a significant other this will make a cute and very unique Valentine’s Day gift or something special for a birthday or anniversary if you don’t do the man-made holiday thing.

If you love to shop but don’t necessarily enjoy doing the pushing and shoving in malls and popular department stores Lucky Magazine is the one for you. I used to subscribe to it and recently got a free subscription with the purchase of a pair of shoes. I like Lucky because its not about all kinds of stuff. It’s strictly about shopping and where to buy what you see in the magazine. They even have a page with stickers so you don’t have to rabbit ear the pages. Gotta love that! Subscribe here if you love fashion.
